From Phagwara to the World of Advanced Surgery – Dr. Jasmeet Singh Ahluwalia’s inspiring path back to Jalandhar
Dr. Ahluwalia’s early years were shaped by frequent relocations due to his father’s government service. He completed his schooling across various cities, including Jammu, Phagwara (St. Joseph’s School), and Jalandhar (APEEJAY School), before pursuing his medical education at GMC Patiala.
His passion for surgery was evident from the outset. During his postgraduate training, he developed a keen interest in laparoscopic techniques, which led him to pursue advanced training under one of India’s foremost experts in the field. His exposure to international surgical practices further refined his expertise, particularly in the domain of bariatric and metabolic procedures.
Despite opportunities abroad, Dr. Ahluwalia chose to return to his roots. With over 17 years of clinical experience, he now practices in Jalandhar, bringing world-class surgical care to the region. His commitment to excellence, patient-centered approach, and dedication to advancing minimally invasive techniques continue to define his professional journey.
